Active Learning in the News
The Times of Malta reports on a Grade 11-12 class that visited the Inquisitors Palace as part of their history class. To prepare for the visit, the students first held discussions, conducted research and wrote about the Inquisition. It was also decided to act a role-play at the palace, using a script based on an actual Inquisition case.
The Hindu reports nearly 1,000 newly appointed block resource teachers (BRTs) enjoy the advantage of undergoing an intense orientation into activities of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA), Activity Based Learning (ABL), and Active Learning Methodology (ALM), at the very outset.
After “seeing where the holes are and looking at what needs to be changed to make the learning experience the best for the students and to see what is needed to engage them in active learning,” two Deer Creek schools received perfect scores of 1500 on the Academic Performance Index (API) Oklahoma Core Curriculum test.
